Our story

Why we exist

Jordan Meier has spent his career helping founders and the institutions that serve them, across the public, academic, and private sides of economic development. He has worked with CTNext and the State of Connecticut, a boutique venture capital firm, and leading university ecosystems including Yale University, The University of Miami, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Today he is Assistant Director at The Launch Pad at the University of Miami, where he helps student and community founders turn ideas into companies.

He founded Reymur Consulting on a simple belief: when entrepreneurs fall in love with the work of building, they become the engine that grows and sustains our small communities. Through Reymur Consulting, Jordan brings that conviction to the government agencies and universities designing small business development programming.

Yale Ventures

The Venture Lab Canvas

As an Associate at Yale Ventures, Jordan helped build the Venture Lab Canvas — a self-paced online video course on the Canvas LMS that helps Yale faculty explore commercializing their research. Universities are increasingly motivated to turn faculty research into companies, but career researchers often lack the time or the business foundation to take that first step. Working as part of the team, Jordan scripted and produced the educational video content and maintained the platform that delivers it. Launched in 2025, the course gives faculty and their research teams a foundational grounding in startup and business concepts — and remains an exclusive Yale Ventures resource for faculty today.
